A unique program that shifts culture around inmates, and matches them with businesses aiming to recruit talents while building an inclusive society.
About the project
Employers struggle to recruit, while people with convictions struggle to secure employment. Employment is proven to reduce reoffending significantly.
This model is promoted by Offploy, UK peer-led social enterprise, that supports businesses to recruit people with criminal convictions safely and fairly, as part of their “business as usual” operations and supports people with criminal convictions through a nine-step candidate journey to enable them to move closer to and into employment.
They bring it all together, mentoring both employers and candidates through the process.
Impact and main outcome
These programs are committed to reduce reoffending and make society safer by placing people with criminal convictions into meaningful, mentored, sustainable and equal employment.
