A simple and powerful formula to up-cycle paper waste and empower families to rise above poverty.
About the project
Designed by 22STARS Foundation, these programs offer small business training and microloans, supporting the work of our talented artisans in rural areas. Recycling old posters, bottle labels and magazines, the women engaged hand-craft jewellery sold via the organisation network.
The 100% of product sales are reinvested in the social mission to empower them and their families locally and help children in need.
Impact and main outcome
The project wants to empower local families to rise above poverty by using education, entrepreneurship and local leadership.
Economic development and education combined with a strong sense of communal belonging will empower and position the beneficiaries engaged in protecting and preserving their culture, environment, and communities and in rising above poverty.
